Hosted on the picturesque Isola di San Servolo from October 17-19, we had the honor of convening the International Society of Microbiota for this momentous occasion. It was a privilege to witness the collective expertise and insights of experts who illuminated the multifaceted roles of microbiota.

Throughout those two enriching days, we were fortunate to bear witness to more than 72 communications, each a valuable contribution to the evolving tapestry of microbiota research.
